Life is kinda funny sometimes. You could be really enjoying what you are doing and all of a sudden, you are forced to stop what you are doing. You may feel uneasy with your decision in that moment but you know in the end, that it is the right thing to do. There is something you want that is far larger than what you are doing now. Something that requires a lot of different steps to get to. Sometimes you have to sit in the uncomfortable and risk it all just so you can be on the right track towards your long term goals.
The uncomfortable is not a bad place.
People automatically get discouraged by any idea that may make them feel like they are taking a step back. But there is no such thing. Sometimes you have to take a little step back in life, just so you can take a giant leap afterwards. It is important to focus on your long term goals and have some sort of plan on how to get to it. You may notice that things almost never go as planned but at least your plan gives you structure. Structure is extremely important as it gives you guidance on how to get to where you want to be.
It is okay to ask for help.
Sometimes you just get stuck and do not know what to do. It is completely okay to ask someone who has been down your path for help. Your loved ones and colleagues will be more than happy to assist you in whatever you need. Never feel like you can not ask someone for their advice on how you should get to your goals. There are individuals out there who have been down your path and are where you want to be. Get a mentor! Let them help you!
I am in a place right now where I had to sacrifice a job I enjoyed.
I recently had to sacrifice a job I enjoyed for my future plans. The job was great but I mainly loved the people I surrounded myself with. There were not many parts of me that wanted to stop working there but I knew it was the best decision to make. The job did not align with my future plans unfortunately. Come January I am starting classes again to better my education so I can get to where I want to be in life. Unfortunately, I could not manage this job and classes so I had to sacrifice the job. That has been super hard for me as I do love the people I have surrounded myself with.
Light at the end of every tunnel
Even though I did not want to quit, I had to. I quickly realized that the friends I made here are not going away. They are people I will always have a relationship with now. They have bettered me as a person and I have learned so much from them. There is absolutely no way I will be willing to lose them. Thank goodness it is easy to keep in touch with people now.
I can not imagine my life without them now. I thank God every single day that I met them. At least that is one positive note from leaving, I made life long friends at the end of the day.
This is not just about work.
This could all relate to different elements in your life that require some change. Any change that maybe you do not prefer to act on. Sometimes things you have to do or things that happen to you do not make any sense. You wonder why you have to go through what you are going through. Until someday you realize why certain things had to happen just so things could get completely better. Life works in a funny, magical way. Just be patient when things do not make sense. I promise you someday when things fall into place, it will all make sense to you. If it still does not make sense to you, it just means that life is not done falling into place for you. Be patient. Have strength, Find peace. I promise it will all workout in the end and if it is not worked out, it is not the end.
